Whitney Houston actual net worth revealed in Probate court

Whitney Houston’s will has been validated by a judge, and now her daughter Bobbi Kristina stands to inherit her mom’s fortune.

Under the will, Bobbi Kristina is Whitney’s sole beneficiary. But the will — which was amended in 2000 — provides that if the 19-year-old dies before probate is completed, ex-hubby Bobby Brown and various relatives would split up all of her assets — but she left it up to them to agree on how to divvy things up. There is one thing that Whitney didn’t want to put up for grabs — her jewelry. In the event Bobbi Kristina died, all of Whitney’s baubles would go to her mom Cissy.

In addition to Brown, Whitney named her mom Cissy, her dad John and her brothers Michael and Gary as beneficiaries.

Now here’s the catch … If Bobby and the others couldn’t reach an agreement on who gets what, the will says all of Whitney’s stuff would be sold and they would just divide the cash.

Even though she struggled through a messy divorce and drug problems her net worth has been set between $80M-$115M.

well I don't know why this makes me feel a little better about Whitney's untimely passing, but it does.

At least she didn't die broke, and having to borrow from CLIVE the devil Davis.

RIP Nippy.

So this [finally] debunks the rumor she died dirt poor. Proves she definitely did have investments that paid off at the end, plus all those film credits and producer credits and whatever she made off tours. Least people can't say she blew it all on drugs.

I'm a little dubious. I remember reading Whitney's will was filed 5 months ago with a probate court in Atlanta, and her estate was valued at $20M or less. I noticed the article is posted on a site which references a source with a broken link. confused

But there is no question her estate will profit handsomely from future royalties.

People always say that about drugaddicts, but drugs isn't that expensive.

you really have to do a lot to spend millions on them, I think it's actually impossible for a person to do.

I mean, a gram of coke is like 50 euro....spend 10 million and you have 200.000 gram. lol

Well of course she was rich. When you make music watered down enough to appeal to everyone ranging from senior citizens to children, of course you're going to be rich.

$20 million sounds about right.During the last few years of her life, she was borrowing alot of money from Clive Davis..taking out advances from the record company.

Didn't her father sued Whitney before she died?

I think you mean before HE died. But yeah. Sometime around 2002, John Houston and his "business partner" Kevin Skinner filed a $100 million lawsuit following Whitney signing the $100 million contract with Arista Records a year prior. Apparently Whitney hadn't paid them back the money they were owed to help save her career from damaging reports of her cocaine addiction. Whitney believed until her death that Kevin Skinner set her father up because he was real ill at the time he filed the papers.

Yeah either way she didn't die broke. I hope when Krissy gets a share of those millions, which won't be until she's 30 at least, she won't spend it lavishly and keep it in a fund.
