I don't know I think Beyonce won't dominate as much as she did in the last decade. If you think about it Beyonce has gone as far as she is going to go talent and movie career wise. Beyonce has really typecasted herself as being this dominatrix femme fatale and her appeal is getting old. When I look at Beyonce 2011 I see the same Beyonce in 2003. There is nothing new about her she does the same old sexualized dance routines and her voice as the same old I am angry at you voice. When I ook at Beyonce she has turned in Britney Spears where you start to say to yourself all Britney is so 90's!.
Beyonce is so 2000's
She does not have Christina Aguilera and Rihanna's gift in reinvention and really branching out music wise. |

I agree most huge stars domination last for a decade followed by success (although not as huge as their period where they dominated) some years later. but Beyonce had a good run ever since she came out with destiny's child in 1998 i believe. as far as female pop stars ruling today its Rihanna whose been in the game for 7 years now and Lady Gaga |

'What is Beyonce going to do this decade?'
Be Beyonce. If anyone does need a definition for this, simply put it translates into 'never sitting down'. She needs to be a mom and enjoy the most important years in her daughter's life. Some moms don't get the priviledge to take time off to get to experience their little ones achieve their major firsts unfortunately. Cherish the beginning moments because once they pass, they are gone forever. Prince Rogers Nelson

There are people even saying that Gaga's star power is fading. They don't make music stars to last forever like Elvis. Most music stars are made to have a shelf life for only five years and they are gone and they start again with the new trend. Beyonce is one the few to have lasted for for almost 15 years if you count her career in girl group. Remember back in 2002 when Ashanti ruled the air waves now you you hardly hear her name. |

Exactly.Back in the day, there was a thing known as "fan loyalty".Fans would support their favorite artists/bands for a lifetime. These days, music has become so disposable.Young kids have short attention spans, and they don't remain loyal for long. They quickly move on to the next big thing. |

We also should look at the music business as well. They are more corporate driven then ever before I compare the music business to being like Apple. The release a hot new thing this year and the next year they are gone. It has gotten worse because of technologly people have more options and therefore they won't go for the hot pop act when they can go on youtube and pay attention to an underground artists. People are disenchanted with today's music the only people not complaining are youth and they are the largest consumers in digital and physical sales. One of the cons about about having a youth audience is that they outgrow music and they are not permanent fans. Beyone attracted 10-30 year old female demogrpahic and they age out of that big pop star and find different artists that cater to their state of mind now. |
