Stevie Wonder ~ So What The Fuss You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

Funny, he's playing the Synclavier. I really doubt that's what was used on the record (I could be wrong about this too, of course).
It's a good song. Always liked it.

Oh, man. I still gotta comment on this.
@2:53-2:57 when he's doing the slider sweep on the synth and it's followed by the image of pulling down the zipper on a woman's dress - [...] - that's exactly how we synth geeks experience it!

One of the highlights of the 'A Time 2 Love' CD it's a good album but I think it needed some more funk jams like this one. It's very ballad-heavy.

Got the cd, finally, a few months ago.
Still haven't listen to it yet

I really dig that project.

And I'm not a big fan of ballads.

Definitely one of the highlight moments from A Time To Love. Brilliant album by the way. Near flawless, if you ask me. Check me out and add me on:

Sad to see that it really tanked... way before it hit the street. Stevie messed up big time. He performed this on Oprah when the album was supposed to hit the street. Then he decided to move the album back a month or so...the show was already taped and had to air..really messing the launch of this album. That was back when people bought whatever Oprah told them to buy!!

Yep. This album was pushed back so much that people just backed out on it. I was just crushed when it announced that he had pushed it back before the Oprah episode aired. Oprah even devoted a nice special for Stevie in her O Magazine. Worse of all, pre-orders were taken at many record retailers and internet retailers. Just ugly because it was an excellent album that was a missed opportunity on the charts and for the public at large. Check me out and add me on:

Love the song!
Agree with the statement that the album suffers from the typical too-many-ballads-syndrome.

One of the highlights of A Time To Love, but not the best song.

Still can't believe Prince played those minimal guitar licks on this. I was disappointed when I found that out. But it's still a great cut. Check me out and add me on:

I guess sometimes musicians do it to help each other out, or just because... "Love Hurts. Your lies, they cut me. Now your words don't mean a thing. I don't give a damn if you ever loved me..." -Cher, "Woman's World"

As a whole, I found this album very boring; but I love this, and "Positivity".

Is it more boring than Conversation Peace?

No. But I liked a few songs on that album, too.

Glad to see this album gets so much love! and this song
This album doesn't get mentioned often by Stevie fans. Pistols sounded like "Fuck off," wheras The Clash sounded like "Fuck Off, but here's why.."- Thedigitialgardener
