Three Dog Night's third album, "It Ain't Easy" - Was a great mix of styles from Rock, R&B, Pop, Country, Ballads, and even the hilarious Doo-Wop of "Good Feelin '57"--all featuring one of the most underrated bands of the 60's and 70's.....
The band was also known for featuring songs by up and coming writers--a then unknown Randy Newman contributed songs like "Mama Told Me Not to Come", "Cowboy" (originally written but rejected for the film "Midnight Cowboy"), and the Title track. Elton John and Bernie Taupin submitted "Your Song" to three Dog Night first , although Elton John's own version would quickly become the hit.....
Danny Hutton, Chuck Negron , Cory Wells - Vocals Michael Allsup - Guitar Floyd Sneed - Drums Joe Schermie - Bass Jimmy Greenspoon - Keyboards
Three Dog Night - "Woman"
Three Dog Night- "Rock n Roll Widow"
Three Dog Night - "Out In The Country"
Three Dog Night - "Momma Told Me Not To Come"
Three Dog Night - "Good Feelin' 1957"
Three Dog Night - "Your Song"

Yeah--of course, when I heard the original I didn't like it that much--but that might be because I was so used to the TDN version...
