I'm down with Ralph.

I did see him say he goin to the 80s? HE was never a synth heavy kind of guy even with the early TTT stuff.

Nope sure wasn't...but I don't think he'll be doing the synth thing though. I have high hopes for this one. nod

I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

Well this is certainly some good news. If it drops before the end of the year that would be icing on the cake. However I get the feeling this won't seethe light of day til 2013. I personally dug the "Ray Ray" release. Maybe it's cause I caught the tour..I don't know. But it's not like "Instant Vintage' didn't have some weak moments either. "Ray Ray" has some strong moments "Detroit Girl", "Live Without u", "Rifle Love" , "Chic Vibe"-(killer bassline), "I want u back w/Teedra".

Gotta remember the "Ray Ray" release was the only Saadiq project to not have any videos! All the other solo projects and Lucy Pearl had vids. There was talk that a vid was done for the song w/Teedra. Had he done 1 or 2 vids we may be speaking differently about that release.

I agree with your assessment of Ray Ray and Instant Vintage. Instant Vintage

had a few mediocre songs on it too but for some reason i found myself listening

to Instant Vintage a little more. Ray Ray had some tight grooves on it though.

There just didn't seem to be a whole lot of promotion with it or videos as you

stated.

This man never disappoints (well, except the Ray Ray album IMO).

lol That may very well be true since I could only stand to listen to about 3 tracks on that album. I could respect that he fearlessly takes risks but that album, I just could never get into.

Ya'll don't like Ray Ray? That's my shit, even though some of it is plain corny and forced at times. lol

Co-sign. Love that album, but the lyrics were straight corn, at times. But, that album grooved like a mutha.
