Best Non Prince Concert this year What has been your favorite Non Prince concert recently (past couple years even) and why?
Mine was the Revolution earlier this year (hey he didn't play it counts ) and why? It's the Revolution at First Ave. nuff said
And second was the Aspen Songwritters Festival w/ Marc Broussard, Sophie B Hawkins, and Matt Scannell ( lead singer of Vertical Horizon) It was held at the Wheeler Oprah House which was built in 1889 and is gorgeous inside. Great Music and Great Seats.

I was going to say Kenny Wayne Shepherd, who I saw back in May.... but then I remembered Sheila E. in August...
BUT I'm going to see Eric Gales on October 10th, and I KNOW that show will be

I'd say the John Legend show I saw a few days ago at my university was the best show I've seen this year and the best part about it was that it was free! John should consider doing an acoustic tour. I saw him last year with Sade and I can't even begin to compare how good he sounded the other night in that theater without all the arena show bells and whistles.

Definitely Björk at the New York Hall of Science. I wish I could have afforded to go more than once.

D'Angelo! What do I have to say about his show?
Done worked a root that will not be reversed
He put it down! D gave an incredible show. It was unreal. Jesse was in the band, and the band was tight. Had some old, some new, & I loved every minute of that thing. I was on a mental high after I saw all that.
* HOB put us in the mood by playing some jams, Tambourine, The Screams of Passion, I Wonder U. I was ready by the time D and his band came out.
