I seen folks saying those words... but I ain't about to find out about it...unless it's in a YouTube poop...

Aaliyah has a better greatest hits CD called Ultimate. There's a CD with all the hits and a second one with a couple of remixes and some songs from soundtracks and stuff. I Care 4 U (the one pictured) has 5 tracks not on Ultimate or any of her albums including a remix of her cover of Got To Give It Up

The hell?! Why am I backpedalling?
The Time still don't have a GH set, do they?
Dammit, my point stands, Paisley Park or not

Something as simple as this would be nice:
1. Get It Up 2. Cool 3. 777-9311 4. The Walk (Edit) 5. Gigolos Get Lonely Too 6. Ice Cream Castles 7. Jungle Love 8. The Bird 9. Chocolate 10. Jerk Out

The Time technically got more "hits" than Sheila...

James Crawford. Ralph Tresvant
PRINCE: Always and Forever
MICHAEL JACKSON: Always and Forever ----- Live Your Life How U Wanna Live It

But Sheila's 2-3 hits were bigger than any of The Time's. Glamorous Life is still an 80's classic.

Didn't Ralph had like just five hits on the R&B chart though?
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
That's true. Which is unfortunate considering where her career went after '91 as explained on her "Unsung" episode.

Buy his first album and you'll have his hits.
You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

lol that's cold but yeah there's like three NE compilations of just their solo stuff. I think Ralph had like one, two or three songs tops but BBD, Bobby (of course) and Johnny had more. Funny the first official lead singer of NE had few solo hits. I wonder who was his manager to fuck that up for him?

What about that one album he released in like 1994? PRINCE: Always and Forever

She has compilations overseas. But it'll be laughable to release one in the U.S.

Brooke Payne? I bought and liked Ralph's second album, but I don't believe it was successful. Other than the songs from the debut, I think the only other solo hit he had was the song from the Mo' Money soundtrack. He had a low budget music video out a few years ago, but I don't know if he released anything. Damn Brooke was managing him? I guess the other guys were managed by someone else?
These are the hits he had: "Sensitivity" (#4 pop/#1 R&B) "Stone Cold Gentleman" (#34 pop/#3 R&B) "Do What I Gotta Do" (#2 R&B) "Money Can't Buy You Love" (#2 R&B) [Edited 8/13/12 17:43pm]

Maybe a "Best Of" can be put out. They often have songs that weren't radio hits. You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

I don't know who his manager was, just guessing. You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. He released two tracks from the '93 album, "Who's the Mack" and "When I Need Somebody" but it only did #35 R&B and #45 R&B respectively.

Oh... nah I don't think Brooke managed him. Who knows? I wonder if LBC got the answer.

Some pretty good names being mentioned here. Latoya def needs one at least.
I dont think any of these artists have a "best of album" (to the best of my knowledge):
-Troop (I think they had like 3 albums or so) -Christopher Williams? (not sure) -Faith Evans? -Tracie Spencer? -Avant?
Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

I just found his CDs. In the credits, the 1st album says the management is Larkin Arnold, the 2nd album says Bust It Management. I heard of Larkin, but I don't know who Bust It is. You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

That was MC Hammer's management company. It shows though. Larkin Arnold knew what to do with Ralph. Hammer (or whoever headed the organization with him) didn't.

^ Chris ain't got enough for a hits set either. If anything it'd be those five songs, some album tracks (if there were fans who bought the albums), some remixes of the hits ("I'm Dreamin'" mainly) and a new track.
