Just watching the live DVD and it looks like Bad was mimed (partly, especially verses) which is a shame, incredible DVD though! I got to see him right at the front in 1997 and it was amazing but he was on FIRE in 88. "Still Crazy 4 Coco Rock"

And man in the mirror mimed too (apart from last bit)... Damn, was really excited about this one after Spike bigged it up. "Still Crazy 4 Coco Rock"

90% of the show - live, so I'm satisfied. Especially in comparison with History, where 90% - playback. One huge "-": no Shake your body .... it was absolutely the best performance in the first part of the tour. I would prefer to see it, not working day and night, for example. But I appreciate the show ***** anyway.

Watch the Spot: Pepsi Marks 25th Anniversary of Michael Jackson's 'Bad'Ad to Air on BET, FoxPepsi is set to unveil a 15-second spot marking the 25th anniversary of Michael Jackson's "Bad" tonight. Thanks for posting, very interesting read!
This part really grabbed my attention:
I was stoked when I saw on the tracklist that the muscial interlude with the band just jamming away was included...but I was really disappointed when they didn't play "It's gonna be a beautiful night"..now I know why that particular song isn't on the DVD...man, Prince can be a prick sometimes..
I have a recording of the Bad Tour show from Cologne which I've watched a few years ago..at the time, I could barely believe my ears when I heard them rip through that Prince song...would have loved to hear that in great quality.

^You're welcome Doalwa. Yeah I read that part too, dont understand Prince's reasons for not letting them the rights to have that segment on the dvd I would love to hear the band play his music during the intermission. Oh well, guess this will just have to do for now:

Listening to Bad 25 on Spotify now
Michael Jackson's 'Bad 25' box: Is it worth your time and money?
A quarter of a century ago, Michael Jackson released “Bad,” his follow-up to the blockbuster album "Thriller." It sold over 30 million copies, contained many hits that you can probably sing by heart -- “Dirty Diana,” “Smooth Criminal,” “Man in the Mirror,” “The Way You Make Me Feel,” and others -- and has become one of the touchstone pop recordings of the era.
Since his death, Jackson’s record label Sony Music has understandably started capitalizing on his legacy, doling out a handful of tracks for last year’s “Michael” album and adding remixes to hisCirque du Soleil performance. Now, on "Bad 25," the label has dug into the archives for a disc’s worth of unreleased rehearsal recordings and a complete 1988 live performance at London’s Wembley Stadium.
The result is the three-CD, one-DVD box set released Tuesday. The set’s list price is 34.99. Is it worth it?
The sturdy box, which is kept shut with a nifty magnet, includes two double-disc collections with glossy cardboard gatefold sleeves. The first features a remastered version of 10-song album (with the bonus track "Leave Me Alone") and a selection of demos on the second disc that illustrate the musician at work.
The best of these is also the most revealing: a track tentatively titled "Song Groove" but also known as "Abortion Papers." Somewhat understandably, Jackson struggled with the lyrics to this story about a teen pregnancy, and ultimately decided not to tackle the hot-button issue on "Bad." Also featured on that disc are new remixes by current EDM hitmakers Afrojack and Nero intended, one would assume, to appeal to a young generation that wasn’t yet born when Jackson was a commercial force. These are terrible commercial house tracks -- especially Afrojack's "Bad" remix featuring Pitbull -- and are an insult to MJ's memory not because they rework his music, but because they do it so ungracefully.
Two different glossy booklets focus on, respectively, the recording of “Bad” and a rundown of the outakes, and the Wembley Stadium performance of July 16, 1988. They’re detailed accounts, filled with dozens of striking photos of Jackson in performance, and behind-the-scenes glimpses of him with his many admirers.
That Wembley gig is documented in its entirety on DVD, and shows Jackson in peak form, moving through then-new songs and dipping into his back catalog to highlight both earlier solo work and a hot medley of Jackson 5 hits. It's a solid, if thinly recorded, document that lacks sonic heft. The rhythm section sounds a mile away, and lacks the pop of a well-recorded concert.
And, for the 8-year-old kid in you, the package also includes a fold-out poster and a “Bad 25” sticker you can put on your locker door.
Worth noting are other versions of this collection that are also available. A two-CD set features only the remastered "Bad" and disc of outtakes and is available for $12.99, and you can get just the Wembley show and DVD for the same price. A "Deluxe Collector's Edition" features all of the above plus a fancier box and an MJ T-shirt, and is available for $199.99.
Price, though, isn't the issue for a product designed for diehard MJ fanatics who covet posters and stickers as much as they do the music. At $35, the full box isn't a bad deal if you're a completist. The asking price of the $200 version is more than a little ridiculous, but this is Michael Jackson we're talking about.
Alas, regardless of which version you take, consumers will have no choice but to receive the aforementioned new remixes. Which is a shame because not only do they tarnish a legacy, but signal a future in which Jackson's music is officially deconstructed to unfortunate ends with full sanction of the singer's estate.
Here's hoping that Paris Jackson has better taste in dance music than estate co-executors John Branca and John McClain.

The quality isnt the best, but the energy, the vocals, the dancing, the performances and the overall sound quality makes up for the horrible pre hd/ vhs quality that is the video quality. I was just enjoying the show that i forgot the quality! It's my fav MJ tour, it's just pure magic! One of the best tours in recent music history. I dont know any artist that can dance and move that much and sing at the same time, Mick Jagger dont count because he's not a "real" dancer imo (i love him tho xD) IT'S AMAZING, JUST WATCH IT !! I know how both yall feel--I got mine today too! I got the deluxe set, not the collector's deluxe set, but I'm mighty happy with it Funny thing, I was looking at the 2nd disc's tracklisting--I thought they included the song Cheater on that set but I see they didnt. They put Streetwalker and Fly Away on there and those 2 were on the previous Bad rerelease, might as well include Cheater since it was recorded for the Bad album too...but oh well...still happy with it. The Estate did a great job with this release [Edited 9/18/12 19:13pm] MJ L.O.V.E: https://www.facebook.com/...689&type=2 / YOUTUBE: http://www.youtube.com/us...nderSilent

I hyperventilated from watching the tour today, and during dirty diana, though I've seen live ones on tv, I screamed/squeaked when he came out of the little tent (like latoya at the verdict) and after the final chorus, I was so out of breath for 2 minutes and trying to catch it, I may have gone psychotic if I saw this at the o2 being performed
he looked so happy, beautiful, was dancing and singing in top form, everything! I like it better than the Dangerous tour too, and that tour is great. I missed the bad sticker, will have to look in my box again...and I may buy the separate dvd so I have a backup, this is definitely a gem in my collection
Glad to see you all enjoying it too

I KNOW, me too! While watching this, I felt as if I was there and I was just screaming after every performance - only Mike can make me do that lol ... I would have gone crazy too!
YES! HE looked healthy and so HOT! The Bad tour is Mike's best tour, Dangerous is great as far as the show/dances but Bad is just another level for me When the power of love overcomes the love of power, the world will know peace -Jimi Hendrix

I haven't gotten like this over an mj show in ages, dangerous made me crazy too when I first got bucharest in the late 90's and when I got the other bad tour and HIStory around that time...brunei was pretty awesome too, but this one, omg he really did look happy and healthy, I also thought that, and imagining him a thousand times more so presently in some universe if you believe in that gave me some kind of relief and that it's okay for me to just be happy too now even if I'm unhappy he's gone, but watching it was like a redemption and vindication of everything, though I hate that this is what it took to get the DVD I wanted for years too, but I guess we've all cried for too long

Had to watch the DVD a second time yesterday, this time I put on the headphones...the sound is just breathtaking! He had a tight band for the Bad and Dangerous tours! Greg Philinganes is just a genius..and Ricky Lawson was a monster on the drums!
Anyway, am I the only one or is the rendition of I Just can't stop loving you at this show one of his best ever? When he started doing ad-libs at the end of that song...that man had a voice made out of gold!
I just wish he would have taken Siedah Garret on this tour...I mean, nothing against Sheryl Crow, but somehow her voice just doesn't fit...in my opinion, of course.
