Favorite Slash Rifts & Solos?

My all time favorite is still probably Estranged, the rift & solo. Damn he just goes all over on this song! he even said himself that Estranged is the hardest song he has ever had to play live.

Some other favorites

Pistols sounded like "Fuck off," wheras The Clash sounded like "Fuck Off, but here's why.."- Thedigitialgardener

All music is shit music and no music is real- gunsnhalen

Not the biggest Slash or GnR fan...

But when I was younger, I LOVED Paradise City... Slash's solo in that was pretty technical (by Slash's standards) and it blew me away.

I also really enjoy Night Train---parts of it remind me of "Die With Your Boots On".

The stuff he did in Guns was timeless.

I dig his solo stuff as well. The last album was a pretty solid effort, if a little safe and predictable. Anastasia was a phenominal record though. I really enjoyed his first solo record, Gotten was a beautiful track and I loved Nothing To Say too.

The second Snakepit album had some pretty cool tracks, especially Been Here Lately and Serial Killer (my favourite post-GNR Slash song).

As for VR, their best track IMO was Messages. I'll never understand why that brilliant song was relegated to bonus track status on the second mostly mediocre VR album.

Messages was the best track on that album! i have only heard that album a few times... you can tell there was a lot of tension when making it.

Bu Messages is great! why it is a bonus track i don't get/:

"Slash is a hasbeen"....

..a lot of people say the same thing about the man who this site is named after..but I disagree with both.

The long end solo in "Night Train" is one of my faves by him. Straight out of the Micheal Schenker school.
