The electro/dance/euro pop epidemic.

ALL songs of pop radio have the same generic sounding beat to them. Everybody is jumping on the bandwagon, Neyo and Chris Brown both have dance pop sounding songs out. Earlier in the decade they made more R&B sounding songs.

When did it start?

But most importantly, when will it end? lol

Timbaland really got it started when he started blowing up in the late 2000's, and Lady Gaga just brought it to the forefront of pop music when The Fame dropped.

I feel like Kanye made it a trend with Stronger because everything that followed it mirrored that song in some way. The same can be said for his 808s album only for the reason that around that time people got crazy with the autotune after he and T Pain made it popular.
