The Floacist, real name Natalie Stewart, one one half of the platinum selling group Floetry, is reviving the group. The poetic rapper has joined forces with Julie Dexter under the moniker 'Floetry Re:Birth' and plans to perform for the first time in the United States at Vail Soul Music Fest.

After releasing two albums, Floetic and Flo'Ology, and the live disc Floacism, Natalie Stewart and Marsha Ambrosius parted ways in 2007.

In the past, MTV host and artist Amanda Diva traded roles with Stewart performing with Marsha Ambrosius. Both original members have released solo projects since their split.

Natalie Stewart & Julie Dexter will performance on stage in the majestic mountains of Vail, Colorado on August 17, 2012. For information on tickets visit Vail Soul Music Fest.

Why not just give the group a whole completely different name instead of recycling it? shrug

I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

I've never heard a song by Floetry but that has got to be one of the worst names I have ever heard. Even if I loved Floetry's music I would be far too embarrassed to have such a silly name in my collection.no no no!

Really? It's not that bad to me.

I always cringe inwardly at "Lady Gaga" though. Sure I know it's from a Queen song but it still doesn't make for a good name.

Man... hells no! Julie Dexter doesn't need this! She's a force to be reckoned with on her own! (((SMH)))

Ever heard of Hoobastank? lol

The name Floetry was just a play on words. One member of the duo was a poet and the

other was the lyricist(singer) who called herself the floacist thus the name Floetry.

Sounds pretty cool to me.
