Mine too. Much better than Angela Winbush's solo stuff.

Love this tune. The fact that you can say "DAYUMM" to a 30 year old song say's a lot about today's music. I can't wait to fast foward 30 years from now and hear how people will talk about music of the 2000's!! eek

wait, I don't have to wait...there are 1000's of threads about the subject here on the org! lol

Be careful with those comps.. They are mostly single versions. The LP Versions are they way to go.

However...you really need this entire LP!! All the musicians from MJ's OFF THE WALL are on here and Rene & Angela was definitely going for that early's 80's "Q" sound, ala "The Dude," Rufus - "Masterjam," "Off The Wall," etc. it also SOUNDS amazing. Great Sound Mix..at least from my vinyl. But that was the magic from Q's engineer Bruce Swedien!!

I'd say skip the compilatons and go straight for the goodies! They only recorded 4 albums and all of them are available on CD.

I agree, no compilations but the full albums. And get the twofer "Rene & Angela/Wall To Wall" first, it is more than excellent! Wait until you hear "I Don't Know", one of my all-time fave teacks by anyone.

Just make sure you get the real mccoys. I've seen some bootleg CDs of all 3 of their Capitol albums floating around on ebay. Make sure "Rise" is from BBR. "Rene & Angela" and "Wall To Wall" have only been officially released as a twofer via Expansion Records. And of course their 4th and final, "A Street Called Desire".
