Basically. But then again, there have been a few women who actually did get away with it like Wendy O. Williams because her music was far from the pop music Madonna's is. I think that's partially why Madonna gets the coverage she gets because her music is stereotypically "safer". Guess it depends on the music. Pop artists attacking each other is gonna get more coverage than if punk/hard rock artists do it.
