Sparkle: Motion Picture Soundtrack (July 31)

June 11, 2012

Link

Fans of films set in the Motown era, put a star on your calendars: Sparkle: The Original Motion Picture Soundtrack will be out July 31 from RCA Records.

The album release precedes the Aug. 17 theater opening of the much-anticipated remake of the 1976 film, Sparkle, starring the late Whitney Houston and pop star Jordin Sparks

The 13-song soundtrack will include the first single from the film, ''Celebrate'', an up-tempo track produced by R. Kelly featuring Sparks and Houston; the second single from the album will be Houston's version on the gospel classic ''His Eye Is on the Sparrow''.

Recording artist Cee Lo Green, who has a role in the movie, also performs on the album.

I'll definitely go see it. The original Sparkle with Lonette McKee as 'Sister' singing was great!

And that yummy Phillip Michael Thomas as Stix......Sexual Chocolate all day!

I'll will be shedding a tear or two for Whitney for sure.

ThankUPrince!
