On August 19th, Beyonce will take to the UN General Assembly Hall in New York to shoot a video for the single ‘I Was Here’, which she is donating to the event alongside her co-writer Diane Warren. In celebration of humanity and ‘people helping people’, the chart topper explained: We all see the headlines and we think what can I really do to help? World Humanitarian Day is an opportunity for all of us to work together to make a difference. This is our time to leave our mark on the world and show that we were here and we care. Her sentiments were echoed by the UN Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs, Valerie Amos- who added: World Humanitarian Day celebrates Humanitarian work. I hope I hope everyone will pledge to complete at least one humanitarian action – however great or small – through www.whd-iwashere.org. LOL, Beyonce will take to the UN General Assembly Hall in New York to shoot a video for the single ‘I Was Here’.
Is she donating a video because she can't string a sentence together without sounding like a mess. Her enunciation sometimes is weird.

Yep. That's why she made a video for the campaign talking about it. www.youtube.com/watch?v=A2adWboJwQs

Honestly it's probably more of a public relations thing on her part than out of any genuine interest in social issues; she seesm like the type that's more passionate about the latest pair of top of the line shoes than famine in Africa, for instance.
But in the end it could be argued, how cares about her level of sincerity if in the end good things come out of it anyway...
