The Whispers appreciation post

Who else out there dug The Whispers. Been pulling out a few of their old albums lately and I forgot how much I loved this group. "Keep on Lovin Me" is just too hot! Remember they were an "older" group at the time (late 30's?) they made some of their hottest albums. While I loved "Out The Box" and "Imagination" I think my Favorite Whispers album is "Love Is Where You Find It" Great title track along with "In The Raw" "Emergency" "Crusin In" and "You Turn Me Out" Any other Whisper fans out there?

You know Maxx, I just shot down my own argument that I made last week lol. It was about age being the main factor in not buying some artists records. I had said we didn't buy "older" acts albums any more than these kids today wouldn't buy a Prince or MJ record. Now that I think of it that just wasn't true. We bought The Whispers, Ojays, Stevie Wonder just to name a few. I think we had more respect for the music. If it was good, it was good. Maxx let me be the first to say I was wrong and you were right lol.

It's funny that everyone thinks "slow jam" when The Whispers are mentioned. It's funny because about 90% of their hits are uptempo. Of course their slow jams were tight but it was the fast stuff that we will really remember them by.
