Jimmy Spicer ~ Adventures Of Super Rhyme You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

I've got this on 8-Track. "Love is like peeing in your pants, everyone sees it but only you feel its warmth"

He released an album? Because I've never heard of an 8-track single. You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. Back in the day a friend of mind, had the 12" and copied it on his dad's 8-track tape recorder. "Love is like peeing in your pants, everyone sees it but only you feel its warmth"

Oh. Did you get the instrumental too? You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

Aw man, I haven't heard this song in Years. That 8-Track thread got me thinking about Old School music all over again. I'm going to make a list of the songs i grew up with and attempt to re-purchase them. I'll Google stuff but does anybody have any recommendations as far as music labels that re-release Rapp and Dance 12 inches from the 80's on CD? Thanks.
Rest in Peace Bettie Boo. See u soon.

I just know about these from the early 1990s. But most of the songs don't have the original fade outs and are like in a continuous mix. You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

Takes me back to the early days of roller skating. This was the jam. He really was a one-hit wonder then again wasnt he managed by Russell Simmons at one time?
I think what did him in was that he used his 'government name' instead of adopting cool rapper name.

While looking for the group The Good Girls. I found the 12" version(15:30 min) in MINT Condition bought back in the 90's by a friend who found it. It's on a label called Tuff City. The B side is Rock It Out by Maximus Three. I forgot I had it on 12" and no I don't have it on CD. I thought I did. Damn I forgot about Bubble Bunch!

It seems Super Rhyme has been on several different labels. The one I remember has the instrumental on side 2 and not another group.
