The issue concerning the fanbase of Janet deserves to be discuss in its own thread.

Given that there are many MJ-fans & Janet-fans alike that are disappointed in Janet's role (currently along with Jermaine, Randy, & Rebbie) in the plot against the Michael Jackson estate, as well as sharp tensions between herself & her niece Paris, not to mention that BOTH situation has divided The Jackson Family among the generation line, we have to wonder if Janet will have much of a fanbase remain whenever this dyfunctional family drama has long ended.

In retrospect it is evident that, in general, MJ fans' have always been somewhat unnerved when faced with facts of Janets' accomplisments and success.

A fall in the number of her album sales will not originate from those who are solely fans of MJ (who will only buy an artists' album if they have a positive association with MJ), not an amount worthy of significance anyway.

Whether her actions are justified or not, similarly to Michael, her actions will not affect the respect she has among many as an artist of excellence.

I'm one of the small percentage of people world wide that has been a music fan of all of The Jackson siblings, including Michael & Janet. Musically, I still listen to all of Janet's catalog except for those albums releases after All Of You. I still feel that The Velvet Rope was her last ever masterpiece thus far.

But lately, I have notice Janet's dark side creep out here and there, especially during the now growing tension between herself and niece Paris. It's sadden me to see aunt & niece not likely each other right now, given that Janet is THE only other person (beside the late Michael) that is quality to mentor Paris and teach the girl what it take to be a real celebrity in the industry.

I don't understand if someone was a fan of Janet's , why would this situation stop them from being one? Celebrities are people too. They have issues and drama too.
Do people on the outside really know what's goin on?
