I was just thinking that,it's a shame that Donna never had a "hit" ballad People only saw her as a 'disco artist' and her ballad singles never really caught on with the public.A year after "Winter Melody",she released another outstanding ballad "Can't We Just Sit Down (And Talk It Over)" but it failed too.Radio DJs' flipped the record over and played the B-side instead ("I Feel Love").

She did a lot of fine ballads, but there aren't many that come to mind that were ever that 'single worthy'. CWJSD was one of the best of them. The Woman In Me, too.
I bet even releasing one of the Bad Girls ballads wouldn't have worked.

another great one was "Love Has A Mind Of Its Own",the third single from the She Works Hard For The Money album.A wonderful ballad that flopped as a single if that song had been recorded by somebody else (a singer who is known for their ballads, like Barbra Streisand),it would have been a smash hit.
