His year of the gentleman album is not that bad.

I almost forgot i bought it when i was in high school... i haven't listened to in since hell probably 2008 But i can admit it has some good tracks. Ne-Yo has an average voice to me but i like his songwriting at times.

Also his hit songs at the time bring some good memoriws to me

But yeah, he can be a whiny bitch like most musical artists but he's really not as bad as the org makes him out to be.

I'm actually a big Ne-Yo fan Sometimes he's whiny but he's never nearly as whiny as most "R&B" singers out there. His first 3 albums are all very solid efforts, the fourth one is pretty bad. I do agree about Give Me Everything, that song needs to go. Even though they're probably his two biggest hits, my favorite songs by him are So Sick and Miss Idependent. I also love his demo for Janet's Can't B Good.

While Neyo is not that bad in some ways, his overrated in alot of ways... I'd take him over most of what is playing on the radio but his just boring to me and he rips off MJ alot (his sound). He thinks his music is so authentic when its just average. His a average vocalist and his songwriting is okay. I think his very overrated in the songwriting department... hell I think even Frank Ocean is a better songwriter.

He does have some nice songs though.

There is a song he made called Crazy and I love it and I think I like cause its inspired by MJ.

I bought the much-maligned Libra Scale album and I still bump it in the car. I prefer his ballads to the uptempo material, with the exception of "Monster''. I dig that track.

He's a fairly good songwriter compared to the dreadfully lackuster artists saturating the airwaves.

Dude, don't ever be shy or diffident about stating what you like. Music that anybody likes

will always be subjective.

NeYo has some really cool songs. I would never buy one of his albums, but he's always

good for a nice single. Fuck y'all.
