New Motley Crue Song.. Yay Or Nay?

It's better than i expected after i heard it was just called sex lol

But eh idk.. the song sounds like a poppy rock song that drunk people sing in frat parties lol

I realize the Crue are very ROCK!!!! or whatever. But like some other artists who just get older & older & older.. and still talk about sex and partying like they are still in there 20's kind of turns me off confused

This kind of song maybe would have worked in there 80's heyday.. But i mean Mick Mars is like 340,567 and had 3 & a half toes in the casket lol

Pistols sounded like "Fuck off," wheras The Clash sounded like "Fuck Off, but here's why.."- Thedigitialgardener

All music is shit music and no music is real- gunsnhalen

Nikki Sixx to his credit is a good writer. He has written some good material for The Crue & Sixx Am that doesn't deal with sex all the time lol.

It's definitely better than that sad Van Halen comeback song. At least it's kinda catchy and doesn't sound like old men in walkers.

Although i liked the album.. Tattoe is a HORRIBLE song... like i feel embarassed for the band hearing it.

I like Tattoo, and don't hear anything wrong with it.

You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

I agree Nikki Sixx is a good writer for the Crue. You're all I need is a great track! I'm very late in realizing how great Girls Girls Girls is. I've been stuck on Dr. feelgood and Shout at the devil for years. Theatre of pain i'm not too keen on. One thing I like about the new single is that it sounds 80s lol! They're not jumping on any band wagons trying to sound current.

Getting off topic here...How's Ratt's out of the cellar album?

Long live hair metal!

It lacks classic singles but as an album New Tattoo is better than Theatre of Pain and Girls, Girls, Girls (and much better than Motley Crue, Generation Swine and Saints of Los Angeles).

and Vince Neil's debut was a solid affair, old-fashioned 70s/80s rock for the 90s; of course, nobody gave a damn, but the album was solid

Hey Guns thanks for the Ratt Recommendation. I'm only about nearly 30 years late but I need to download it for sure! biggrin

Had totally forgotten about New Tattoo, i love that album, i love the cover of White Punks On Dope. And yes the first Vince Neil solo album is great, Steve Stevens played great on it.

Carved in Stone?? wow, I think I downloaded that album in 2002 to give it a try...I deleted it lol

his blatant attempt at "modern" rock...

anyway, Neil's Exposed (debut) was like 10000000 times better than the Mötley Crüe album of 1994...which had a nice/current sound/image (and still sounds good) but lacked strong material...Hooligan's Holiday was a very weak single after the Feelgood/Primal Scream years...

Generation Swine was the true low point tho...

Do not get me started on Cinderella & Heartbreak Station. That album is a masterpiece. Cinderella needs to be on Unsung! They are so underrated.

its not bad, to be honest it sounds like a song a band doesnt want on the album and gives it to a soundtrack to just be on the soundtrack.

I haven't found many people that agree with me but I thought that the two new songs on the 1998 Greatest Hits album ("Bitter Pill" and "Enslaved") were pretty good. Maybe I like them simply because the finally started sounding like Motley Crue again?
