Sure it’s true, but so what? When has Beyonce ever tried to pass herself off as anything but a pop act with corporate backing? It’s not like she’s running around demanding to be acknowledged as a poet or musician. Try calling out Jay-Z for giving himself a long list of nicknames to use as filler when he can’t think of an expensive car to rap about.

Are you serious? Beyonce takes herself WAY to seriously.. From the whole "King B", from wanting to be compared to Michael Jackson and for lying about the songs she so called writes herself. Im glad Prodigy did this and no this isnt a diss.

How can this be a diss when its the truth? The Irony is Beyonce has 16 grammys for generic music and Queen has NONE when they basically did everything their self, thats the point.

Yea she did for a video where she is just laying down in a chair on a patio eek And the Co director who is the fiance of her sister confused had the audacity to say Beyonce was creative confused

Im so tired of her bullshit in how they overrate her, its soooooo old now and it really means nothing. She could win 500 million awards but her material doesnt speak for it so it doesnt mean shit.

They could have given that to anybody hell even the Hype Williams video was better that what was nominated. eek eek

I dont have no problem with awards but clearly all her awards are not deserving and their just given to her because shes Beyonce not because of the quality or creavity of her material which is 0 and she buys into her hype like she is so authentic nuts

The song is sampled. 4 of the writers are from the original song.

Exactly. They always print the chorus on one side and a verse on the other too.

Beyonce could be mocked in countless ways, but there's just something about this "meme" that screams "fail".

"Bohemian Rhapsody"? Why choose that one for comparison? It's hardly an example of either tasteful or focused songwriting.

I remember some Janet Jackson singles from the early-00s had nearly ten writers, so she would have been an easier target.

Bohemian Rhapsody happens to be one of the biggest songs ever written.

Who cares if it's focused; I've never heard critiscm of a song because it 'isn't focused'.

As for the Janet Jackson reference; She, Jimmy and Terry wrote songs together, and therefore all of them are credited. It's a different scenario to Beyonce, who just is given what often seems a compilation of half-assed lyrics from several song-writers, merged into a song.

You've never heard criticism of Bohemian Rhapsody being too sprawling?

However, you know what's the real difference between Beyoncé and Janet?

Beyoncé can sing. mr.green

So in other words you just came in here to stan for Beyonce, trash one of the greatest songs ever written and trash Janet who is 10x iconic than Beyonce would ever dream of being to make yourself look like a complete fool...bitch shut the fuck up.

Yall motherfuckers drinking a little to much of the bee hive anytime you would trash a genius work that is Bohemian Rhapsody which is better than ANYTHING Beyonce has ever done.

Criticising Queen and Janet in order to praise Beyoncé lol

Beyonce is Janet's subordinate, which is evident in J's:

Ability to dance, creativity, quality of music, performances/tours, song-writing...

I don't get all these copius amounts of songwriters having their hands in on all these pop songs, the best albums of the past decade have come from strong songwritting duos:

Amy and Mark Ronson

Lily Allen and Greg Kurstin

Adele and Paul Epworth

Gaga and Redone

etc.

Bohemian RHAPSODY too sprawling? LOL.

Perhaps we need to just take a quick look at why it's intentionally like that...

"A rhapsody, in music is a one-movement work that is episodic yet integrated, free-flowing in structure, featuring a range of highly contrasted moods, colour and tonality."

Those writers of the original song were still part of the final composition of the Beyonce song, so yeah, Beyonce wouldn't have the song without the sample that those writers contributed, so they should def apply as part of the list of songwriters for Beyonces song.
