Rob Zombie & Marilyn Manson Touring Together

Oh....my..lawd

Rob Zombie and Marilyn Manson Team Up for 2012 Twins of Evil Tour

In what will surely be one of the most anticipated rock tours of the year, Rob Zombie and Marilyn Manson are teaming up for a co-headlining trek dubbed the Twins of Evil Tour.

The U.S. leg of the trek will kick off this fall when both acts appear at the Desert Uprising Festival in Phoenix, Arizona, and fittingly wrap up on Halloween night in Dallas, Texas. Following the U.S. jaunt, the Twins of Evil will travel overseas to embark on a European leg of the tour, which launches Nov. 26 in London and runs through a Dec. 12 gig in Bologna, Italy.

Describing his excitement for the tour, Zombie comments, “Finally! Why did the most obvious tour take so long to happen? Who knows? Who cares? It’s happening now. If good taste is the chief enemy of great art, then we should be able to fill the Louvre with this f—ing tour. Be prepared for something wicked this way a-coming.”

Meanwhile, Manson issues a warning to music fans in his statement: “I have sympathy for the Whore of Babylon that gave birth to these twins of evil, and this abomination of a tour. There is no babysitter, and there is no repairing her womb. If Rob Zombie doesn’t f— you up, than I surely will. Hide all drugs and firearms… I’m coming to town.”

The tour will be supported by J Devil, the DJ alter ego of Korn singer Jonathan Davis, who will open the Manson/Zombie dates with his chaotic electro-metal. “I like to think of J Devil as the ‘anti-christ’ of EDM [electronic dance music],” says Davis. “To play alongside Zombie and Manson is going to be a f—ing sinister night all around, and an unbelievable theatrical experience. I can’t wait.”

Zombie is heading into the studio to work on his next album, but in the meantime is set to release the remix disc ‘Mondo Sex Head’ on Aug. 7. He will be joined on the Twins of Evil tour by his stellar band comprised of guitarist John 5, bassist Piggy D and drummer Ginger Fish. Zombie promises an elaborate stage setup complete with “hair-raising theatrics, animatronic robots, oversized LED screens, a non-stop collage of psychotronic monster film clips, a spectacular light show, a gigantic robot with flames shooting out of its body, pyrotechnics, insane guitar riffs and vicious beats. ”

Manson, meanwhile, will be out in support of his critically acclaimed new album ‘Born Villain,’ which debuted in the Top 10 of the Billboard 200 chart earlier this year and yielded the hit single ‘No Reflection.’

Well this tour is long overdue. Include Trent and NIN and it would be the ultimate.

Tristan (aka Trent) is too busy doing movie scores and rubbing elbows in Hollywood.

I hate goth and punk rock? Is it anything like that, because that's the image I get from looking at them.

Nah they're industrial metal... well Marilyn is (or was, he has used all sorts of genres like Bowie-era glam rock for instance). I think Rob's groove metal or was with White Zombie. So nah they ain't "goth/punk rock" but goth rock and punk rock are not bad. Don't knock it 'til you try it. lol

.. u know there not trying to be Whitney or even Madonna.. i mean this is Rob Zombie & Marilyn Manson lol Singing is a different term with guys like these.

While manson does have some deeply personal lyrics and tries to evoke emotions at times, Zombie is groove funk metal, industrial mess. His music is crazy over the top horror stories... so his growling vocals work for his ''zombie'' persona lol

oh lord jessum, this is so far away from goth....

goths sing about bats, misery and waffles.

punk sing about rebellion, anarchy and waffles

rob zombie sings about b movies, zombies and waffles.

manson sings about his love hate relationship with xtanity, shock, and waffles..

its not the same.

I'm trying to figure that out. falloff Punk rock ain't about singing, it's about feeling. Rob and Marilyn didn't need to sing, they got the music, lyrics and look. nod You can't expect everybody to be Prince. lol

im being really tongue and cheek. i mean, what i admire about Manson is really that they dont truly fall into the rock star stereotype..well not competeley, i mean they aren't a sexist band like most musicians in their genre. i really liked Mechanical Animals. What i like about Zombie is that there is a a sense of well campyness/satire in their look and work, kinda like batcave in a way maybe.

you know when listening to punk, i mostly phase out the singer and listen to the bass guitar. bass guitar is my favorite instrument, next to the synth. i usually at the end i go and listen to the singer, usually, the singer emotes such feelings, that make your heart pound, 'cause you can't feel their emotional energy getting to you, its a wonderful feeling truly.

Not according to Trent. Possible exciting news regarding future NIN recordings here http://www.nme.com/news/n...ails/64840

This part sparked my interest....

Speaking about Nine Inch Nails, he (Trent) added: "I'm working on some new Nine Inch Nails stuff. Hopefully, it will be good to hear. Right now, it's in its gestation period."
