Janet's "If" turns 19 today 19 years ago today, Janet's "If" was released as a single. Virgin wanted "If" to be the lead-off single from janet., but she and JJ/TL decided to go with "That's the Way Love Goes" first.
"If" went on to top the Billboard dance chart, and go top 5 on the Hot 100 and R&B charts.

Love this song. I love how the verses are ruff, almost rapped, and then she sings on the chorus. "Your smooth and shiny feels good against my lips" gets me every time

I would LOVE that but unfortunately I dont think thats ever going to happen. The relationship that Janet and Tina had together was clearly more than their love for dancing and it showed. That same spark would never be there again after everything that has happened between them. | |
