One of the things I've always loved about listening to Narada is the effortless way he would always slide back and forth through different genres-- Rock, Soul, Jazz-Fusion, Pop---often on the same album. Some people found that too Chameleon-like, but I always appreciated the diversity and range....

nod I wish Ray was more of a household name--that man is dangerous on the guitar!!!

BTW, this one below made me a fan of your boy David Sancious (Sting, Peter Gabriel, Bruce Springsteen)--he is killin' the synths and the organ! When I first heard it, I was like, "who the fuck is that on keyboards!!!????"

Better then anything off his "divine emotions" album. Sounds like an outtake from that album. Credits don't state who does the sax, but it could be Clarence Clemons as they did work together around that time and it sounds like him LOL.

Check the drum breakdown on the fade!

Aw man, I had his True Stories album on repeat in the office the other day.
I was really hoping to catch him on Jeff Beck's 2009(?) tour when he came through L.A.
But as it turned out he didn't do that part of the tour.

That's funny. Even the poster warns you that the song doesn't start until 2:44! smile

Truly beautiful segment.

And that's kind of the point for me with this album, it's just a segment.
It's one of those albums where each song theme flows into the next seamlessly.
After I heard the album for the first time, on subsequent listens I feel i've missed something if I don't listen to the whole thing front to back.
