hey guys, im wondering who in your opinion has the best music catalog (discography) (please please please, dont turn this into a debate on who is better.) PLEASE. im interested in hearing peoples opinions and getting into other artist entire discography. the only artist whos ENTIRE dicography i have listened to is Michael Jackson,Prince, and The Beatles. People i would like to discover their entire discography is David Bowie,Lou Reed,Nico,Geore Harrison, Paul Mccartney, The Rolling Stones,Fleetwood Mac, Joni Mitchell,Bob Dylan, and Louis Armstrong.

basically the question is who in your opinion has the best music catalog/discography. i am interested in hearing your opinions and maybe even inspiring me to listen to other artist full discography too.

The Beatles, of course. Most of their albums are good. For 10 years they have released some phenomenal albums.
Pink Floyd ... The Dark Side of the Moon, Wish You Were Here, The Wall. From 1973 to 1979, they released three incredible albums.
This two obvious contenders for me.
Discography of Prince, Bowie, Elton John, Rolling Stones for me - the ups and dips. The vast catalog as a whole, the great musical heritage, but too many of a weak material.
MJ discography (solo) is very small, in addition, the first 4 albums, I do not take too seriously. Although from 1979 to 1995 he produced a very good albums. This is probably the longest series of good-quality albums.

Oh, and Queen has the best singles discography.
why their studio albums discography is not so good? neutral

Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, Cream, Outkast, Raphael Saadiq (solo and with Tony, Toni, Tone), Sade, Maxwell and Robert Cray all have stellar discographies. I'm sure part of it has to do with the fact that they're relatively small.
