The Electric Company - POISON

When I was a kid, I thought this song ROCKED! I probably hadn't heard it in 35 years, but the melody and most of the words always remained clear in my head. It was the thread about Zoom in GD that inspired me to search for this and I found it. It still rocks. mushy

Instead of the skull, they should have had a picture of Mr. Yuk. wink

You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

Yeah, that's how dumbed down whatever children's programming is these days... hmph!

I found out not long ago that Gene Wilder was the voice for Letterman.

I did not know Mr. Yuk back then. I didn't know anything about the Jolly Roger or Pittsburgh Pirates either so skull and crossbones always meant poison to me.

The song's lyrics would have to be changed for Mr. Yuk. lol

^^^ Wow, that one is good too. It's too bad these Short Circus songs aren't on the soundtrack.

I remember the Spider-Man theme, but never heard the complete version. At the time I found the Spider-Man episodes to be a bit scary.

I wasn't scared of the EC Spider Man segments, but I was scared of Scooby Doo and wouldn't watch it.

There was a time when producers would hire bands and arrangers to create great sounding original music for TV shows.

I miss those times.

I grew up in the 80's and there were so many classic pieces on the shows of that era.

Music, sweet music, I wish I could caress and...kiss, kiss...

I never knew she was part of the early cast. Or that it was originally filmed in black and white.
