I miss Luther Growing up, I never liked him, cause he was my mom's fave singer and she would play him non stop, but now, after seeing his Soul Story on VH1 soul, I'm just in awe of him and his rare talent. "Lack of home training crosses all boundaries."

I was spinning the album heavily this morning:
Man was on some other stuff on this one. A soap-opera on wax...Man was a genius for real! Check me out and add me on:

I heard Your Secret Love yesterday and those lyrics never fail to rub me the wrong way. he was a master of tongue in cheek lyrics.

There is such an interesting story about that song. Can't remember alot of it, but it is amusing how Luther got questionable reactions about the song title and some of the lyrics. Check me out and add me on:

I still want to know how the feud between him and En Vogue started "Lack of home training crosses all boundaries."

Luther put out the highest quality albums of the 1980's. Bar none. He was kind of under-appreciated during his run, probably still under-appreciated today. I miss him, too.

Beautiful voice, amazing talent. I wish people realized he wrote and produced a lot of his music in addition to his amazing vocal delivery. Dance With My Father still sometimes brings a tear to my eye

Agreed! A masterpiece. Can't go wrong with any of Luther's golden 80s period (1981-1989). Check me out and add me on:

He sure did. Was in a record shop a few days a looking at vinyls and saw Luther covers with his beautiful smile, brought a tear to they eye. He was my favourite singer. After his death I found it difficult to listen to his songs Wished I had seen him in concert. I was just a little to late.

Was listening to this while cleaning the house,,,
The amount of stuff he did for other artists is just ridiculous. It ALL should be documented and compiled, everybody need to hear those songs.

Why are you not including Power Of Love? That album is an eargasm to me, true some songs are filler but most aren't personally.

That album is decent, but not one of my top favorite Luther albums. Check me out and add me on:

it's hard to pick a favorite Luther Vandross album, but for me,it would be either Never Too Much or Forver,For Always,For Love. Those two albums are perfect.
and yet,my favorite Luther song is from the album that came next
