Crackle is showing a wonderful documentary about why small record stores are failing. You will really like this movie. It talks about why independent record stores are closing. They deal with downloads, Wal-Mart, record company greed, etc. Watch the film or parts and tell us how it was.

I saw that doc on Netflix a while back and it is indeed a sad telling of the times we live in today. No one loves checking out the music today. Check me out and add me on:

Maybe they don't understand it exists or why it matters. They need to be led. All you others say Hell Yea!!

Every week it was. But some of my fave memories are of literally sitting on the floor of those small shops & diggin through the crates & boxes of cut-outs, etc. UNDER the racks. Far cry from the empty experience of a download. Funk Is It's Own Reward

I go to record stores all the time. I just ain't shellin' out $18.99 for a CD when I can go on amazon.com and get the same title practically brand new for a small fraction of the price. [Edited 7/3/12 18:33pm] "It's not nice to fuck with K.B.! All you haters will see!" - Kitbradley

That tells you what idiotically bad businessmen they are. They would sell huge bunches if cds were all ten dollars, but they would rather go for the boring hit.
There's also the fact that great artistry will no longer be tolerated. Woodshedding is how great artists exist.
We will be inflicted upon by Bieber, Katy, J-low until we put our feet down.
There's also the fact that radio doesn't break iconic artists, just the same crap. They also don't play local bands. We even had a radio station that charged local bands to get their songs played, but for charity. lol
If we want to hear different stuff we have to search.
