Stevie Wonder & Sting

You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

Yeah, he played harmonica on this song:

Thanks for sharing that sublime video of Stevie covering "Fragile". Sting you lucky bastard! To have Stevie bless your song live w/a live performance and a harmonica solo is special cool

Fragile was awesome

I went through a Sting-hating period, but damn if that song does not sound like something off of Innervisions of Talking Book.

And I like that Stevie sings it pretty straight and doesn't overdo it

Yeah, Stevie pretty much put on a clinic for singers who want to learn how to interpret someone else's song with restraint.

Beautiful rendition. Although he didn't overdo it, his vocals still dripped with soul without getting too much sauce on your fingers. cool

Yeah, how awesome to have Stevie come out and say "I love this song!" and then give a beautiful rendition of your song?

Both wonderful. I LOVE Sting! "Fragile" would be under the category of "perfect song" (one of the active threads here).
