Its Macy for me.

I can understand why people dislike her voice, because I would never even try to convince anyone that Macy had a reasonable voice, let alone a great one.....but, I liked the variety and eclectic nature of the music on her 1st album.....I cant wait to meechu being my absolute favorite....I guess for me, the music overrode the fact that her voice was not good....

However, I never liked Badu....(maybe incorrectly I will say in advance) because to me, based on her vocals she reminded me of a Billie Holliday wannabe.....I didnt care for her vocal stylings....or the music......I cant speak to the lyrics, their power or the way they conveyed what she was trying to say, since I was turned off from the getgo.....

its no or i like em both they both serve different musical purposes 2 me i can listen 2 em back 2 back no or in the hand give em both a grammy damn good women. just like michael and prince no either or they both serve a musical purpose and moment for me

I'm not a huge fan of either, but I like some songs by both of them.

But Erykah Badu gets my vote.

Though I did say Badu and sometimes can only tolerate Macy in some songs, in the ones I heard, the music is at least slammin' enough. Maybe if her music was more, oh I don't know, funky, maybe I'd get behind it more than I do Badu. Just maybe.

Me too! She has a unique voice..but only so much at a time. Finally Made Me Happy Strange Behavior Why Didnt You Call Me? Are good trax though..... Badu is themeatic with her last abums and keeps pushing boundaries. She is an awesome singer. She can sometimes just let her voice gently glide on a track or put on a show.
