I liked her CD ever since I heard it at Starbucks. When I saw her live at the celebration it made me like her even more. I was hoping she would bring it home tonight.
Many people around me don't like her music so i started to wonder if it was just me, but tonight I realised there must be more people out there that love her as well. Congrats Norah!!! Much Love, LoLinex Faith

I thought I heard her stumble into the second verse. She seemed extremely nervous. I am sure that has to be an extremely nerve-racking experience.

Seems that way, first Alicia Keys now Norah Jones. Was good to see miss Keys at the end of the show also I think the marketing man in Prince can spot young female artists who constitute "the package," that list of ingredients (fair amount of talent, certain looks, stage presence) and gauge their potential within the industry. He probably would've had Mariah Carey at a Celebration, when she first came out.

Norah is wonderful. I just love her cd. She deserved every award she got last night. She is an artist with real talent. I was so happy to see her take the album of the year. I love Bruce, but Norah's cd is better.

who is Ravi Shankar? He's an Indian musician who made a name for himself in the US. He appeared at the Monterey Pop Festival in the late '60s. Norah, however, was born in New York and raised in Texas by her mother. Went to Booker T. Washington high school in Dallas for the peforming and visual arts. She also went to the University of North Texas and studied jazz piano there. This post not for the wimp contingent. All whiny wusses avert your eyes.
