And D'Angelo wrote the song I think. nod This is what led to his big break actually. I enjoyed the film too. Probably Jada's best role.

Man, we need more songs like this. But I can't really see a Black Men United with the likes of Chris Brown, Drake, Big Sean, and Kanye West. neutral

That scene when Forest Whitaker got shot by the Allen Payne's kid character... still chilling... because it kinda triggered what happened later because he didn't want anyone coming between him and his family. Funny thing was his brother (Bokeem's character) turned into his drunk father. neutral And Allen's character (Jason) tried to save him. Still shaking my head he shot Jada in the arm though. disbelief But it didn't end in full tragedy though it was still sad.

Polynesian version

You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

Excuse me for my lack of knowledge regarding Polynesia, but out of all the different versions to be made, a Polynesian one seems a bit random. lol
