This is the only album that I've bought that is a new music release, and not old albums.

A CD came with this, but I haven't listened to it, since it's just the audio of some songs from the DVD:

eek I need to check that Sade out.

I don't know, that Santigold is really fuckin' good lol

Yes, to re-cap:

Lana Del Rey - Born To Die
Sleigh Bells - Reign Of Terror
DJ Premier & Bumpy Knuckles - Kolexxxion
Grimes - Visions
Stallion Medallion - Stallion Medallion II
Disclosure - The Face EP
Mode Moderne - Strange Bruises
Azealia Banks - 1991 EP
Santigold - Master Of My Make-Believe
Fiona Apple - The Idler Wheel Is Wiser Than the Driver of the Screw and Whipping Cords Will Serve You More Than Ropes Will Ever Do

No order yet; I need to listen to the latest ones a little more to know where I'd rank them compared to other favorites. Right now, I just know they are "up there". smile

nod Almost forgot this one.

One of the best albums XL Records has conceived and released so far.

Is the duet with Teena Marie "With U I'm Born Again" on it?

If it breaks when it bends, U better not put it in!

It's been a little bit of a weird year - I haven't really outright loved anything, but there are a whole lot of "almost there" great albums:

Rufus Wainwright (I love what Mark Ronson adds to his mix)

Magnetic Fields (great melodies override camp overload)

Santigold (was disappointed at first, but it's grown on me a bit)

Standard Fare (another grower)

Regina Spektor (her weakest, but still good)

First Serve (2/3 of De La Soul and about as good as that ratio)

Killer Mike (I'm now finally like "oh, THAT's who that guy is")

Sleigh Bells (wears out its welcome quickly, but what a ride)

Sinead O'Connor (batty as ever, and much better for it)

Craig Finn (I like this better than the last couple of Hold Steady albums)

Imperial Teen (seemed slight at first, but has hooked me somehow)

Azealia Banks (have a feeling she'll never top 212)
