Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers have been KILLING Europe over the past 2 or 3 weeks!! Its been their first trek over this side of the pond in 20 LONG FUCKING YEARS!! Sold out shows, surprise guests performing with them onstage, for example, I saw them on Wednesday, 20th June at the Royal Albert Hall in London(they did 2 nights - 18th & 20th June) to a sold out gig and Tom surprised everyone by bringing out Steve Winwood!! THE BEST CONCERT I HAVE EVER BEEN TO IN MY LIFE!!! Then in Amsterdam on the 24th Eddie Vedder of Pearl Jam joined them onstage!! Tom & The Band were the main draw at the Isle Of Wight Festival last weekend despite the fact that Bruce Springsteen was also a headline act, it was Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers who everyone went to see!! By all accounts I think they will be coming over here again!! biggrin biggrin biggrin
