OMG! Gotye killed himself? No, not really, but CNN got punked.

Apparently you haven't arrived as a pop sensation until someone tries to pull a death hoax on you in the media. The latest death hoax recipient is Gotye, who was reported to CNN as having committed suicide via their iReport.

I'm not sure what's sadder; that Gotye is popular enough to warrant a death hoax, or that CNN has sunk so low in journalism that they don't even vet their reporting. disbelief
