The opening night of her new "Guardian Angel" tour, in Birmingham, UK. She was phenomenal - her new band are tight as hell and she herself was in incredible form, vocally and on guitar and harmonica.

The sound in the venue was great, and the setlist was a perfect mix of old songs and new. There was about 4 new songs played from the upcoming "Havoc & Bright Lights" album and they all sounded really good.

The whole crowd knew every word to songs like "Ironic", "Hand In My Pocket", "All I Really Want", "You Learn", "Head Over Feet", "You Oughta Know" and "Thank U" - I guess that's what happens when you sell 35 million records!!! It was an awesome atmosphere.

And she looks more beautiful than ever.

The second show of the tour is tonight in Manchester - I believe there is a London show after that and then she's heading across continental Europe for the rest of the tour

I almost forgot she's back. I love her new single, it was on the radio a few weeks ago and I was really feeling it.

I saw her in 1996. I would love to hear those songs live again!
