The D.O.C.

I saw in the paper that The D.O.C. will release a new cd on 2/25 entitled The Deuce.

The D.O.c. was hot in '89 when he teamed withe Dre on It's Funky Enough, No One Can Do It Better, and The Formula.

I knew he was in an accident that affected his throat. I'm glad he's back and look forward to hearing some new tracks.

I know we were speaking on Dre on another thread. I would have to say the DOC's album was among Dre's best productions. I dug the above mentioned and add to that "lend me an ear"

Had The D.O.C.'s career not been sidetracked, I'm firmly convinced he would have been mentioned in the same breath as Rakim, Chuck D, KRS-ONE, Biggie, and Tupac. He should be anyway on the basis of "No One Can Do It Better," which I think STILL stands as Dr. Dre's best production to date.

I bought this yesterday. His voice is definately different. The cd is basically a group effort. A track with Ren, Cube, and Snoop is too funky.

I read in a review this a "G Funk" sound record. True or not?
