One of my favorites from her. This one and "Get It Right" which sounds similar. Andy is a four letter word.

"Who else is on the line? Kitty, girl, do u have a party line?" LOL! Her little spoken adlibs always crack me up cuz she's so tuff! Oops! Scratch that! Wrong song! I was thinkin' about "Every Girl Wants My Guy!" Sorry. :-O [Edited 6/20/12 13:37pm] Hungry? Just look in the mirror and get fed up.

It's CUTE!!! Hehe! And she drops that Street Speak like it's 2nd nature! LOL! Only Aretha could pull that shit off! Even on her "So Damn Happy" CD from 2003 ("No Matter What"), she's throwin' out those street lines and they work 2 amazing effect! Hungry? Just look in the mirror and get fed up.

What's really crazy about Sister Franklin's ad libs is that you know she ain't never had any close female friends like that "Lack of home training crosses all boundaries."

Did Luther and Sister Franklin work together again after this? "Lack of home training crosses all boundaries."
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
They recored a duet together in the early '90s.

They could've subtitled this (Jump To It, Part 2). The album sleeve doesn't credit anyone but Aretha for backgrounds on the track. But it's obvious it's not just her singing. I swear I hear Whitney in the chorus.
