Did anyone see this mess. It was almost as bad as the fixed fight that took place after (the Black Rhino was paid to lay down for sure) It really brings us back to the same issue when talking about all rap shows. Are they worth paying to see? My answer would be no. 99% of the time, you have 1-5 (in no limits case 12+) rappers on stage, yelling into a mic as a dj spins. This was cool the first time I saw RUN-DMC on the raising hell tour in the mid 80's. But then again, those cats had stage presence. PE was another act that was worth seeing live. And regardless of what fools say now, nobody could touch Hammer. Other than those cats (and maybe the roots since they play live, although I haven't seen them) What rap act is worth seeing live? Even cats I like (LL, Snoop, Outkast) have lame live shows. Hip Hop just does not translate well live. Thoughts??

Busta Rhymes was incredible. He brought so much energy that the whole crowd was an ocean of movement.

depends on the Artist Live.LL COOL J's Unplugged from 91 is still My Favorite Unplugged Set Ever on that Network still.

1)L.L Cool J's Unplugged Peformance was excellent {as Maxx mentioned}

2)Dr. Dre And Snoop Dogg performance of "Nothing But A G Thang with live musicians during the MTV awards in the early 90's

3) Public Enemy's 1994 album Muse Sick-N-Hour Mess Agehad some live musicians on it playing and a pretty good record IMO. Forget what those dumb critics said about the album being a letdown.

Actually, in 1991 I remember seeing Public Enemy when they headlined a tour with A Tribe Called Quest, Naughty By Nature, Geto Boys, and Leaders of the New School. All the acts were good (funny, at that time Busta ripped the mic and got NO love), but A Tribe Called Quest put on one of the best performances I've ever seen live in any genre. This was right after they released The Low End Theory, and they were at the top of their game. P.E., of course, put on a killer set too. Now, I can see what you're saying, although I hear good things about the Roots and De La concerts.
