One of THE worst songs of the 1990's. Excuse me, but Case was freaking garbage as a vocalist.

Dont hold back man, let us know how u really feel?
For the record, I dont think Case is a good vocalist either but I do like the overall production of the song, Foxy's rap and Marys hook on the chorus and I think that is what makes it one of the best songs of the 90s.

It's on my gym playlist. Actually I play it more these days since I downloaded a couple of years ago than I did in the 90's, since I didn't have it back then. "Funkyslsistah… you ain't funky at all, you just a little ol' prude"!

Come on, now. He wasn't that bad. I don't consider myself a fan of his, but he did some decent songs. I think the worst was Uncle Sam. **--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••-

what happened to Case? "Lack of home training crosses all boundaries."

To each its own. But Case was freaking K-Ci (of Jodeci) wannabe, never mind that dating K-Ci's sloppy seconds (Mary J. Blige) was THE only reason why Case's career didn't end as a one-hit wonder like it should have.

How was the rest of Case's short career after him and Mary broke up?
I rest my case. | |

Damn! All of this hostility!

Love this song, I liked a lot of Case's debut, and I absolutely adore "Faded Pictures," which is the best thing both he and Joe ever did IMO. "Whitney was purely and simply one of a kind." ~ Clive Davis

Case dated Mary J? where have I been? "Lack of home training crosses all boundaries."

Briefly. He even gave her a shout out on his debut. Listen closely to the end of the "Rain (Interlude)" and he says, "I love you, Mary Jane."
Incidentally, "Rain" is my favorite track on the album other than this one.

Happily Ever After was my song "Lack of home training crosses all boundaries."

Doug Banks just played "Faded Pictures" by Case and told a story of when he did his show live at the Apollo in NYC in the middle of Summer and case showed up in a powder blue leather suit in 87 degree weather. He said he asked him if he was hot. Case kept saying he was alright and cool.
That boy ain't right. **--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••-

Ah, 1996.
One of the best R&B tracks/productions of all time.

Such a great year for hip hop/R & B. This song is a classic. It's right up there with You're Makin' Me High imo. "That's when stars collide. When there's space for what u want, and ur heart is open wide."

And both were Bobby Womack's vocal cabon copies.
This is one of my fave songs by him btw,,,

I disagree.
I always thought that K-Ci had more in common with Bobby Womack's gravelly, throaty singing qualities with Sisqo being the carbon copy of both of them.
Case's voice doesn't have that raspy-ness that those three singers mentioned above have. In fact, Case is not a powerful singer at all.

Wouldn't call it a classic, but a very good song and holds up quite well.

I always thought he was a decent singer "Lack of home training crosses all boundaries."

What qualifies a song as "classic" for you?
My roommate was in a cypher once and he started beatboxing the drum track to this song and the people there went nuts; now that alone isn't enough to qualify this song as a classic but for my generation, it most certainly is.

Judging by that Jerry Rice jersey, Case spent all of the $10 budget for wardrobe in this video.
