Don't forget $20 (or more) to park your car, $15-20 for one drink, $300 or more if you get pulled over by the cops for just about anything (they live on Sunset)!

I Really like D'angelo he's a good musician ... but i'm sorry he is not THAT GOOD

I Paid 25 bucks to see Prince do a 4 hour show & just a few months before that. I paid 115 to see Stevie Wonder, Babyface, Janelle Monae & Eric Benet all live the same night.

129 plus the other fees for D'Angelo alone eek that's some bullshit lol

Yes he is that good.I have seen him there a few times. He got better & better each time. Its worth it especially from a Singer/musician that could have been dead from a drug overdose but beat the odds. I bet U it sells out in 5 minutes.....

But when i saw people like Stevie, Prince, Bob Dylan, Janelle, John Mellancamp, Willie Nelson & Kool & The Gang for way less. It is just not worth it... I Like D Don't get me wrong. But that is way to much for a guy who has not had an album in 12 years.

That is why its going to sell out. People like when a person is successful then ends up in a tragic life. Then escapes the odds against him. Plus this is the land of the stars. It will be a whose who of peeps there. One whose name is in this site title..

Agree. If he had been releasing albums and showcasing new material it slightly might be something different. I love D angelo to but the ticket prices are WAY to high.

It's because it's a rare appearance by D'angelo and the fact the House Of Blues is an expensive venue.
Worth every penny of course. Saw a Prince aftershow there for about the same price, with Wendy and Sheila E. as guests in 2004.

I'd pay good money to see a quality artist like D'Angelo at a small venue.

Sound is always far superior than shows at larger venues. That's really important to me.

I want to hear all the musicians arrangements with as much clarity as possible!

I'll always be more willing to shell out money at smaller venues.

The fact is that most people don't get the opportunity to see big name artists play small venues.

Music, sweet music, I wish I could caress and...kiss, kiss...

Wow! He loves the Prince sound. But the critics never credit Prince for being D's real musical influence & idol...

Oh and I guess "How Does It Feel" was influenced by Marvin or Teddy then... nah, critics didn't hear that screeching guitar and the falsetto hollers... nah they didn't. falloff Yeah I guess "a subtle tribute to Prince" was something I read in my imagination. lol

Or nothing in Brown Sugar or Voodoo had any "Prince mentions". razz

Suuuuuurrrrre... lol
