Ne-Yo Honored At Songwriters Hall Of Fame Ceremony
The 45th annual Songwriters Hall of Fame Ceremony took place on Thursday night, honoring Pop music’s most influential masterminds. Billed as the publishing equivalent to The Grammy Awards, this year’s event saw ‘Lazy Lover’ Ne-Yo awarded the ‘Hal David Starlight‘ award, for his contributions to the craft. Pictured above with Hip Hop producer Swizz Beatz, the Compound executive was joined by his recently signed artist Adrienne Baillon, formerly of trio 3LW and later Disney’s ‘The Cheetah Girls‘. | |

I don't like his music... but he has written some ok stuff for other artist's. He's not added much to the so called ''craft''
He wrote Rihannas unfaithful... which i think is a good song. If someone except Rihanna had sung on it, it would have been a great song Pistols sounded like "Fuck off," wheras The Clash sounded like "Fuck Off, but here's why.."- Thedigitialgardener

Oh please.... Neyo is just okay. I think even R.Kelly is a better songwriter. Neyo is very overrated in that department. He doesnt suck but I dont think his all that to be honored.
I think Marsha should have been honored over him or Raphael, hell even R.Kelly!!!
I hate these dumb awards. They always reward these awards to artists out now and ever artists who have been in the game longer who are more deserving.
His just very average and I guess since he appears to be the only artist now who exactly writes successful songs they make him out to be this great great songwriter. [Edited 6/17/12 12:37pm] | |
