I wish I was in NYC, it would've been a no-brainer.
Many years ago, I attended a seminar she held in some Philly's college, with Brenda Russell. It was a general seminar about music theory. There were two grand pianos installed opposite of each other in the centre of the lecture hall and both accompanied each other in a medley of songs. I knew from previous knowledge that Patrice played the hell out of the Ivory keys, but I didn't know that Brenda was a beast at her own right as well.
Anyway, one of the songs in the medley was "Power Fantastic". Patrice started playing and then Brenda accompanied her during the intro, I was so hyped when I heard this I whistled so hard my sister who was with me was beckoning me to cut it out, Patrice turned to the audience with a smile and said "I know! one of my favorites as well".
