Great great music SIIS were the soundtrack of my youth (among others).
The first two albums are totally fucking dynamite. We played those albums and 12inches to death. Their choice of vocalists was sublime, Caron Wheeler and Victoria Wilson James (whom Jazzie B used to call "The Godess"), fantastic voices. There was a clothing shop where I lived that sold original SIIS clothing. The stuff with the dread on them. Big fucking long sleeve tops with the SIIS logo in gold. The business. I would have loved to have seen them live too. They toured the USA once I think, I can't remember if they ever played the UK. They did release a live VHS though. I think I may still have that one. Good times.
The albums Club Classics Vol 1 & 2 really are classics, timeless gorgeous summer music.
Thanks for posting.

I like these guys! i really dug them & Snap! as good dance/funkesque groups. Pistols sounded like "Fuck off," wheras The Clash sounded like "Fuck Off, but here's why.."- Thedigitialgardener

Club classics was such an apt title for their albums
Although "fairplay" was not a crossover hit, to this day that song still can move a crowd. Life has a way of making you live it. . . .

I saw them at wembley arena one time and saw Jazzy B mixing at Brixton back in the day when i had hair. I agree they were good.

You're welcome. Heard Get A Life on the radio the other night and was reminded how nice their tracks sounded.
Music for adventurous listeners
