Kelly owes them $4.8 million in back taxes, a non-trivial amount of money that will require quite a few hit singles to pay off. It is being reported that, for some strange reason, R. Kelly hasn’t been paying his taxes for the last seven years. He may have paid something, but the feds are saying that it wasn’t enough.

TMZ gives a breakdown of what the crooner owes Uncle Sam. It ain’t pretty:

2005 - $1,472,366.77

2006 - $710,520.51
2007 - $376,180.11
2008 - $1,122,694.90
2009 - $173,815.18
2010 - $992,495.24

The grand total? $4,848,072.71.

Maybe R. Kelly should get out there and start hustling up some money. He’s got quite a mess to clean up. But he can do it he is very gifted

A rep for Kelly tells TMZ, "R. Kelly is in the process of working everything out with the government and is confident that all his obligations will be satisfied."

I am getting tired of hearing these stories of celebs not paying taxes. And didn't kells loose his house or was in danger of it last year? it's obvious him and his people do not care of shit right.

That house thing was even on yahoo.. i was shocked cause i had not seen a kells article on there in years.

I know kells has got to make pretty good money. Consedering nearly all of his songs where produced & written by him. Not to mention the hits he produced and wrote for other artists. I am pretty sure he is broke off

Well I think it helped his case when the "victim" refuse to testify against him.Therefore the jurors could not connect her with the tape. Since she was not cooperating. They had no other evidence but heresay & circumstantial evidence. Plus her & her family was living with The R. for a while after the accusations we're made against him.. hmm2:
