I have mixed opinions about Cher Lloyd at the moment. Vocally, she has the potential by dance-pop standards. But the producers AND beatmakers for this track is putting me off because it sounds too much like Disney Pop. And I hate most of the crap that is on Radio Disney.

Fellow orgers, what is your take?

I did not even realise she had registered on the US radar. I'd hoped most in the UK had forgotten about her already.

I thought she was awful on UK X-Factor, her first single was like a comedy record, and she initially came across like she had a big chip on her shoulder for no discernible reason.

I sincerely hope she has earned enough to "own" a house and be comfortable, and therefore never bother my eardrums again.

Just somewhere in the middle,
Not too good and not too bad.

Should we actually call her an 'artist'; this girl has nothing that looks like talent!

She was Cheryl Cole's 'Mini-Me'-style protégée on the UK X-Factor a few years ago. Even though she was useless in the audition, Cheryl had a whole 'Emperor's New Clothes' thing going on about how amazing she was, even there was zero sign of this in anything she'd done. Finally, she picked her over another girl who could actually sing and did a decent audition. It was bizarre. No harm to the young girl, but compared to these young singers you see coming up with a great voice and an ability to perform, she was crap.

Mind you, Cheryl herself seemed to be 'auditioning' for a sort of Princess Diana role as 'Queen of Hearts' in the nation's affections, at the time, so maybe that had something to do with it. shrug

I hope not lol All I know about this girl is I saw a clip of her performance on UK X-Factor in which she "sang" a horrible cover of SOS Band "Just Be Good To Me". Part of the song was her rapping. The judges (including music industry Satan Simon Cowell) thought she was amazing. I can't believe she bastardized such a classic hot track from the 80s. Listen to how bad she is live folks:

Why would she own 2012?

She's not very good or popular?

These days, the word "artist" is used loosely all the time. lol

Rihanna & Ke$ha are not very good neither. And yet, they have a music career! disbelief lol At least Cher Lloyd has a chance.
