For anyone in the north Florida area, i'll be performing on Saturday (5/26) at 12:30pm with Longineu Parsons on the Groovin' Stage (Hemming Plaza).

Pesonally, i'm looking forward to seeing the legendary Sonny Rollins on Friday night.

Aww man, that looks like a really nice lineup. I'm still waiting for them to post the lineup for the jazz festival here in my city that will be held in August. Last year wasn't bad, hope this year's will be decent.

I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

What performers did you have last year?

I remember seeing her on one of the late night talk shows some time ago where she described Anita Baker and Michael McDonald as "cottonmouth singers". smile

The Jazz festival promo lists the closing act on the night I play as Cindy Blackman & Another Lifetime (Tony Williams tribute).
However, her website lists the gig as the Cindy Blackman Santana Quartet.

In the "quartet", her keyboard player is Partice Rushen...

It was a good show. We had a great time.

He's aware of him and has played with a number of avant-garde musicians
(Sun Ra, Cecil Taylor, Sam Rivers, etc).
