It takes a lot of guts to cover an Aretha Franklin tune, but Tweet's been getting positive marks from blogs and Twitter users alike for her latest rendition of the Queen of Soul's 1972 hit, "Day Dreaming". Listen here.

"Thanks to everyone for all the LOVE today!!," she said this week, adding that her #TweetTuesdays online series is "in effect." Each week, she will release new music on her website, IamSimplyTweet.com.

The singer is working on her third studio album, which she'll release through her new label home, DuBose Music Group. The upcoming disc will follow her 2005 album, It's Me Again.

She has the perfect voice for a song like Daydream. I love this woman!

Did Love, Tweet ever leak onto the internet? I still haven't heard it. I read the review in Vibe and then it never came out. sad

No unfortunately, this snippit was still the only thing that carried the album's rumored existence.

This brings to mind the Dionne Warwick/Burt Bacharach stuff, I wish the full length finds its way to the new album. Its just TOO good to be shelved, or hell, release it through Itunes, single songs sell like Cherry Pie in Twin Peaks so this might be well recieved with a video. She still has a following, I'm not sure if she realizes that.

I welcome this Aretha tribute album, I think Miss Charlene can pull it off, she has the chops and the emotional depth to do it justice. I've been a fan of this dame since her days with Sugah.
