It's out in the UK. I was looking at it about an hour ago in the record shop.

first impressions:
1st half of the album is so-so. many songs that are nearly great but somehow fail to ignite. once again a lack of great melodies.
2nd half of the album picks up and the songs get better imo. favorit song on the album is "pale horse".
lots of interesting ideas and certainly miles better than Zeitgeist, esp the production is just lightyears better.
after listening to this tho, i still thought "hmm, would it be possible to take the best songs on this album, add on the best songs from the 3 teargarden ep's we've had this far, and come up with one seriously bangin' album that could rival any pre-machina album?
the answer, sadly, is still a resounding "no".
but things are getting better. the horrible to good song ratio is finally switching more to the good side of the scale. some very good songs overall. just not that super great "wow" moment yet.
